Dragons

Overview

Dragons are some of the most useful pets on SnailCraft and have several unique features. The following are the 6 dragons currently obtainable in-game:

• Lowlands Green Dragon
• Great Fire Dragon
• Molten Black Dragon
• Tae the Grand Drake
• Lyrixia the Grand Wyvern
• Southern Venom Wyvern

Lowlands Green Dragon

Overview

The Lowlands Green Dragon is one of the 3 Drakoni Rank dragons. It can only be obtained by unlocking the Drakoni Rank.

Behavior

The Lowland Green Dragon is a ground mount as well as a flying mount. On the ground it runs faster once moving for a few seconds. In flight, it is slower than Lyrixia the Grand Wyvern and about on par with Tae the Grand Drake.

Commands

The Dragon Staff obtained from the pet interaction menu has 3 different commands you can use with this dragon. First, it has the ability to toggle between full size and half size. The dragon cannot be ridden when it is half-size but it is much easier to have in smaller spaces. Second, it can be toggled to say in place (lay down) or follow you. It will teleport to you if you walk too far away though. Third, it has a "plunge" command that allows you to fly straight down very quickly when flying on the dragon.

Great Fire Dragon

Overview

The Lowlands Green Dragon is one of the 3 Drakoni Rank dragons. It can only be obtained by unlocking the Drakoni Rank.

The Molten Black Dragon is a ground mount as well as a flying mount. On the ground it runs faster once moving for a few seconds. In flight, it is slower than Lyrixia the Grand Wyvern and about on par with Tae the Grand Drake.

Tae the Grand Drake

Overview

Tae is the only dragon of its kind in the game. As a result, it has a few unique skills as well as some in-game lore. FaeLilly created this dragon for her Santa Crate 2025 item and it can only be obtained through that crate or by trading with another player for the pet token.

Behavior

Tae the Grand Drake is a very effective ground mount as well as a flying mount. On the ground it runs faster once moving for a few seconds, reaching speeds faster than vanilla horses. In flight, it is slower than the other dragons in the game. In the pet interaction menu you can select for Tae to be saddled or unsaddled. When saddled, Tae will not attack nearby hostile mobs. Both the saddled and unsaddled versions have access to a pet inventory where you can store items.

Commands

The Dragon Staff obtained from the pet interaction menu has 4 different commands you can use with this dragon. First, it has the ability to toggle between full size and half size. The dragon cannot be ridden when it is half-size but it is much easier to have in smaller spaces. Second, it can be toggled to say in place (lay down) or follow you. It will teleport to you if you walk too far away though. Third, it has a "plunge" command that allows you to fly straight down very quickly when flying on the dragon. Lastly, it can be commanded to use its area-of-effect attack which shoots harmful blizzard tornadoes at all nearby hostile mobs.

Lyrixia the Grand Wyvern

Overview

Lyrixia the Grand Wyvern was the first wyvern to be included in-game. As a result, it has a few unique skills as well as some in-game lore. Paxolotl created this dragon for his Santa Crate 2025 item and it can only be obtained through that crate or by trading with another player for the pet token.

Behavior

Lyrixia the Grand Wyvern is a flying mount but not a very effective ground mount. On the ground it moves very slowly due to its wings. In flight, it is the fastest flying mount.

Commands

The dragon cannot be ridden when it is half-size but it is much easier to have in smaller spaces. Second, it can be toggled to say in place (lay down) or follow you. Lastly, it can be commanded to use its area-of-effect attack which harms all nearby hostile mobs.

Southern Venom Wyvern

Overview

The Southern Venom Wyvern is a wyvern similar to Lyrixia the Grand Wyvern, but a bit smaller. It is teal green with a tan underbelly and bright red eyes. It can be unlocked through the Escargold Shop for 1500 escargold.

Behavior

The Southern Venom Wyvern is a flying mount but not a very effective ground mount. On the ground it moves very slowly due to its wings. In flight, it is as fast as the three Drakoni dragons.
