Monthly quests are the most difficult type of quest and are released on a (you guessed it) monthly basis. The quest style frequently changes and contains objectives that related to the monthly crate's theme. In addition to keys, this quest also rewards at least 1 unique item that cannot be obtained in any way other than through the quest.

Monthly quests expire on the 27th of the ''following month,'' meaning you usually have a month and a half to complete the quest. Example: Entomology Quest comes out mid-'''February''', and therefore expires '''March''' 27th. Once the quest expires, you will not receive any rewards for completing the quest.

This means that the crate contains rare and legendary spawn eggs that are much more difficult to get than common and uncommon eggs/items. To balance the crate, the crate also has milestone rewards. What this means is that for when you hit 5/10/20/30 keys you will be rewarded with items in the rotation at that time.

Milestone rotations repeat after you reach 30 keys. This means that you start back down at 0 and work your way up the ladder again.
